Just Flat out Cold....

I got the garbage to the side of the road for pick up this morning.  This was a blue day which means the recycle bin goes out as well.  It is usually full of broken down boxes and we are working on shredding all of the paper we have in the box in the office.  We now have about 2/3’s left to do.
I headed off to my college class today and decided to ride the bus transit system.  It saves me gas and it only takes about thirty minutes of my time so I figure saving gas is a good thing.  I tend to see the same people riding the bus and even though no one talks to each other we just ride in quiet.
The instructor is discussing SQL and how to use the language in making our tables and pulling out reports.  We have three weeks left in the quarter and then I will be done with my certification and then get to go out and try to find a job.  I know this will not be easy with my age but will at least try.
I ate my lunch at Subway again.  This makes the fourth day in a row eating this sandwich.  I figure if I get a string of days going I won’t want to break it and maybe that will help the end result.  I got on the scale this morning and I haven’t moved off of 245 lbs.  If it wasn’t so cold outside I could walk around the block.  I would like to find a bike and go down to the river and ride on the trail this spring.
This evening was our night out at the tavern to watch our friends play darts in their dart league and we sit and visit and eat dinner.  I had some chicken pieces and onion rings.  They also make a good grilled cheese sandwich.  Watching our friends play darts is fun as they try to explain the game to us as they are going through their five games.
I sent my loaner insulin pump back to Medtronic’s today.  It is nice to get it out of the house and on its way back to the company.   It was nice to have the loaner available while waiting for the training to take place on the 530G and the Enlite Sensor.
After everything was done today I dropped off my pick-up to be worked on at the repair shop.  I have my list and I hope they are able to get most of it completed with the amount of money available from our income tax return.
I ended the night watching the Commerce Casino streaming online.  I like to watch the poker tournament players and what they do during the tournament.  They do not have announcers and that would be a big help but at least I can watch the game and I try to figure out what cards the players have and what each one should do with their hand.  It gets me involved in the hands.
Have a fun day….
